There is a new AirWare update for the Spektrum DX 7s & DX 8.

For the DX 8, here is the info: (I don't own a DX 7s, so I don't have that info.) I think you may have to have an account and register your radio in order to get the update. I wasn't able to find any information about it online, unless I logged in to my account.

Spektrum™ DX8 AirWare™ Version 2.04
V2.04 Software Update

Supports new telemetry G-Force sensors
Calibration screen/ function has been improved
Elevons when Flap System is active bug has been corrected
Wing/tail channel assignment and switch selection interaction has been fixed.

Cheers,
Andrew

I sent my DX8 back for new gimbals (recall)...here is the turnaround time..
..left on Dec 10th
..received at HH on Dec 17th
..repaired and dispatched on Dec 19th
..received back on Dec 28th

..gimbals feel extremly smooth and no twitching on the "monitor" screen.

(before when you operated the elevator, the ailerons would likely twitch a small amount)

A word of advice...remove your lipo pack from the TX prior to shipping. I did not and they were not impressed, but they did return it..!

Yes, a 2S 4000mah pack made for the Spektrum radios..but that's not the reason..

Lipos are a no no for air travel in most countries now. The large instruction sheet they attached to the radio box upon return stated that anyone sending lipo packs via air travel is now subject to horrendous penalties...!

Strange thing is that the return invoice stated there was a 2200mah NIMH pack enclosed in the parcel....so i was thinking..darn, now I'll have to order another Lipo pack...but when I checked inside the radio there was my lipo pack with my initials on it...so now who is in the crapper due to shipping lipos...!
