An Electric Flyer's first Tool..!

New postby retiredVTT on Wed Jun 28, 2017 10:37 pm

If your flying Electric planes, you have to know the condition of your lithium batteries both BEFORE you get airborne and AFTER you land.

This device will give you this information....and Yes, it's cheap in price, so it's accuracy might be a bit off, however that's not a big deal..!

That is a good deal. Have you ordered from them before?

Yes, usually an order is delivered within three weeks at a modest cost.

Just ordered a receiver and 2 servo and ESC ( http://www.targethobby.com/spectrum-ar6 ... 62325.html ) for a new 1/2 size (1m span) version of my MAYFLY 2m Sailplane. Will fit a small electric motor. for those who want to self design an indoor model, this should be an excellent start. A full airborne system for $30.60 Can. Great value

Target Hobbies and Spektrum products

New postby AndrewS on Sat Jul 01, 2017 6:22 am

Word of Warning...from what I have read on the Spektrum radio thread on RC Groups, Target Hobbies is notorious as a supplier of counterfeit Spektrum gear.

I bought 2 AR6100s from them 6 or 7 years ago before I knew this. 1 wouldn't bind out of the bag. I've never had bind issues with a Spektrum rx that I bought through Maritime, MSC, Great Hobbies, or Horizon.
They also did not come in the standard Spektrum packaging( hard plastic sleeve, card stock backing, bind plug with a Spektrum "flag" and a manual), they were packed together loose in a plastic bag with bubble wrap. They did come with bind plugs at least.

So as they say...you pays your money, you takes your chances.
