The future of FLITE-TEST...!

New postby retiredVTT on Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:30 pm

The guys at Flite-Test have made a really big announcement with the purchase of a 120 acre golf course in which they plan a three year development to relocate their seven year old business. Details are in the following video.

Just saw the video, quite the endeavour, and it's only a short drive.

"Let's buy a 120 acre golf course".... wow. How much would that cost? Certainly not something that many people could just decide!

They do have a crowd funding event going on - seeking $200k and already $59k there.

But it sure does look like a spot!!! Much of the video must have been captured in the summer/fall.

Well, the fund raiser is now at $73,500. as of 10:30 pm. Earlier today it was at $17,000. so I think they will surpass their goal of $200,000 with another 30 days to go. What I get from the video is that the Bixlers have financed the "land", and this fund raiser will go toward the initial buildings.

It wil be interesting to watch the progress.

Wow...a day later and the fund is at $111,600.

At this rate they may go well over their goal of $200K

Two days later, the fundraiser stands at $178,000 from 1001 contributors, ever so close to the goal of $200,000; and with a solid month left in the campaign It would not surprise me if the goal figure actually doubles..!

Here's a link to the fundraiser: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/flit ... 13d029ad#/

Ok, I'm in...at the $75.00 level for the fancy ball cap..!
Interesting to see that the first things to sell out were the most expensive models and multi-copter packages.

Bill,
I see as of Sunday evening 7:45 pm they have raised over $208,000 or 104% of their goal, and with 25 days to spare. Will you be planning a trip to the new Flite-Test HQ in the not too distant future?

Fascinating to watch..!
