A long time ago I help start an RC model power boat club in HRM called the Atlantic Model Power Boat Club and raced nitro boats. We were covered by MAAC for a while, but then went with IMPBA so we could compete with other clubs. Still have a couple of boats, it was lots of fun. The tunnel hull I had would do 80 Km/h. I'm working on building an electric deep V since I have all the batteries. Hopefully it'll be fast too. So many hobbies, so little money.
