The Shearwater indoor sessions are continuing strongly with even more fliers attending each week.
Highlight of today was Richard's expertly flown EDF "turbine" sounding like a bee gone wild.

Talking to a few people at Shearwater indoor yesterday and they were not aware that the sessions started at 10am and not 10:30am.
This gives us an extra half hour. Go for it.

Good to know...! I thought that it started at 10:30am and was always surprised that many people were already set-up!!!

Thanks for sharing.

Another great indoor flying day at Shearwater! This video was taken with the Eachine E58 from Banggood that a bunch of us have now or are getting (thanks for discovering it Jim!). I was flying mine FPV using the iPhone app in split screen mode with the phone installed in Google "Cardboard" type goggles. The view has quite bit of latency but the picture is bright and crystal clear and no interference. Meanwhile it is recording 720p video to SD card and flys for about 8 minutes! It also only weighs 100g RTF :-)

By the way the black drone "attacker" in the video is Jim's E58  The lights from that and John's Inductrix Plus show up really well both on the screen and in the recording. It definitely all had a Star Wars feeling to me!

Looks really affordable at $75 CDN for a 2MP camera and 3 batteries. Small too. I wonder what kind of range you can achieve? And how well would it respond outside? Any experience with these traits?

How can I get in on these beta test orders... now I am 3 weeks behind the times! ;)

Just a quick reminder to our HEFA members that have been able to enjoy some indoor flying with our SW colleagues - there is no indoor flying tomorrow (Easter Sunday) as the facility does not open until noon. Additionally, the following week is the SW Hobby Show and therefore I am understanding that indoor flying is also closed on that day.

We've had a great "run" of the indoor. Thanks again to SW for opening their doors to us!

Tired of all of this rain? Our friends at Shearwater still have indoor flying....! It's on today - April 29. See you there. Official times are 10:30am - 12:30am.

Thanks again to SW for opening this to other clubs!!!
