Re: Indoor Flying at Lake Echo Community Ctr
Folks,
I spoke with the coordinator at the Lake Echo Community Ctr this afternoon regarding tomorrows indoor flying demo. Based on the forecast for a potentially nasty storm we will be making a decision tomorrow morning regarding whether the event will be postponed. If it is, I am looking at perhaps rescheduling for Friday afternoon.
Please check this post for updates tomorrow.
Thanks,
Vic

It would be a sad thing to disappoint the kids.
Let me know in the morning.
Friday will fit in well also.

Re: Indoor Flying at Lake Echo Community Ctr
So, no surprise, the Lake Echo Community Centre is closed today. Therefore the indoor r/c demo is postponed to Friday 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
I hope that this doesn't preclude those who were interested in participating in doing so, and perhaps it also allows some others to come and join in as well.
See you on Friday!
Thanks,
Vic

Just a reminder that the indoor flying demo at the Kids Camp at Lake Echo Community Ctr is today from 2:30 to 4:30. If you can come out and help give the kids a show and enjoy some indoor flying at the same time that would be great.
Cheers,
Vic

Re: Indoor Flying at Lake Echo Community Ctr
Thanks Al, Richard and John for helping to support this event.
Thanks especially to John O'Sulivan for building the chuck gliders for the kids (and to John Hatt at Maritime Hobbies for supplying the balsawood). They had an absolute ball with them. I believe the rc flying demos and discussions with the kids were well received and I think we may have helped to sow the seed in some future aviators.
Thanks,
Vic

Glad it went off well guys, thanks John O' for your contribution.
This last snowstorm had my son and I uncovering the skylights today as well as pulling a ton of weight off our roof with a 22 foot snow rake.
Lots of aching joints now..!
