Christmas Holiday Indoor Flying

Unread post by CF Av8or » Fri Dec 12, 2014 7:22 am

Guys,

I am looking to organize an indoor session over the Christmas Holidays, specifically between 25 Dec and 1 Jan. The Porters Lake gym will be available to us, pretty much any time we want over that time period. I want to get an idea of interest and to pick an optimum date and time.

My initial thought was to hold the session on the evening of Monday 29 Dec (from 6 - 9 pm), for several reasons. It frees up the weekend for those with holiday/family committments; it is in the evening, so those who have to work between Christmas and New Years can make it; it is not during the short, precious, winter daylight hours; and finally, it is on the regular indoor flying night for the ASRCM folks, who won't be able to use their regular facility because it is closed over the holidays.

What are your thoughts and suggestions? I would like to have a rough idea of interest to see if we can make this finacially viable (we would need at least 8 flyers to make it work).

Thanks,
Vic

I am working at least part of the time between Christmas and New Years... although the exact schedule is currently not fully defined. Probability of me being able to participate is 25% at best. That said, the venue is great and Vic has done a lot of legwork to secure this as an option for us in these (potentially) cold December days!
