Indoor Flying Sat 6 Dec, 2014

Unread post by CF Av8or » Wed Nov 26, 2014 7:39 pm

Hi Guys,

I've booked the Lake and Shore Community Centre in Porters Lake again for the second session of our indoor flying season. The other prospective locations have not panned out as yet, and as much as I would welcome a switch to a larger venue, we'll have to hang in at Porters Lake for now.

Based on some feedback received at the end of our first 2-1/2 hr session, I've extended the rental period of the gym to give us a 3 hour flying period this time around, from 11 am to 2 pm. Flying fees will remain the same ($10.00/person or $15.00 for a family group).

As I haven't received any negative feedback about the flying format and flight line set-up, we'll try keeping it the same for the next session. I still welcome any comments for improvement that you might have, so let me know.

Hope to see everyone again on the 6th!

Thanks,
Vic

I have Akerley Campus in Dartmouth available on Saturdays, the Gym is at least twice as big as porters lake and may be another option for the Dartmouth area. Let me know if this is something the club wants to try as I have the paperwork for rentals.

Plus the stage area could be the "pits" leaving the entire floor space for flying

A bigger venue would be great. The ceiling looks pretty high, too. Right now, I'm planning on attending the Dec 6 indoor, but that will likely change. I suspect that I'll be asked to work overtime that weekend.

Sadly, I couldn't be there today. A little kidney surgery earlier this week has clipped my wings. I hope to make it to the next one.
