I guess a careful search of the new products page at Hobby King is now required. 8-)

Bet you they are more than $99.00 US plus shipping

Countdown continues for the "THE BIG ONE" ...

Sunday, March 20th, 2011 1pm to 3pm. CANADA GAMES CENTER, Lacewood Ave., Halifax.

You will likely not fly in a BIGGER venue for some time..!

This place is THREE NBA basketball courts in size PLUS a bunch of perimiter room for model storage and seating.

High above, encircling the entire area, is a multi lane running track....excellent for viewing what happens below.

If you have not seen this part of the $43 million dollar building....come on down THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 12th..2011

Details below in attached pdf file.

Even if your not flying, we encourage members to come over...we may have a few fun jobs for non flyers.

EDIT: The attached poster states 250 size helis....we have increased this to 300size for THIS event.

Very good question Jeff...but should be directed to Rick..!

I took advisement from him on "size" for indoors..

My initial thought is "rotor size"...but I confess that I do not know the actual measurement.

Friday 3/18/2011 update..

I was at MSC shop today..(nice prices on small diameter carbon fiber for pushrods on indoor flyers..!)

Anyway I was told that Sunday's indoor event at the CGC is "creating a lot of buzz"....!

Also i hear that we can expect some flyers from GREENWOOD..!

Good to hear..!

Hi Folks,

This is one, very large centre. The pictures really don't do it justice, as the height is difficult to judge. In some early posts, someone thought it was only around 20-24' high, but I want to let you know that this isn't the case. You will see in the following pictures a reference tool (me and some lines that I drew) which will help you appreciate just how high the ceiling is. I'm actually in the picture, but I made a copy of myself and pasted several times above the original image. I figure the clearance is approx. 36-38' high before you start hitting the rafters. :D

Cheers,
AC

Busy day in the "hangar" as I prepared the "fleet" for Sunday.
