Look to the Force (internet) for the answer Luke. Beware of the Darkside in your quest for the truth!

Wait for them to come in stock. Have them send you and e-mail when they arrive. See the bottom of the page, for that ESC, on the HK site.
Why would you want to convert the geared 380... they are so cheap? What plane are you thinking of converting?

This is for the parkzone cub I have, it runs on NiMi and was thinking about converting it to lipos and possibly an outrunner.

Re: motor conversion
Send Andrew S. a pm...I believe he converted his Cub to a three wire motor and Lipos..
For the Mini Pulse... think about a 150/200 watt motor that weighs about 2.5 oz and swings a 10/5 prop and draws around 15/18 amps from a 3S pack and you will be close to the original specs.

There are $8.00, 30 amp, brushed ESCs and $3.00 HXT900 servos you can get from HK. You can then keep the motor you have, and still run Li-POs. You will need a receiver as well.Madwood wrote:This is for the parkzone cub I have, it runs on NiMi and was thinking about converting it to lipos and possibly an outrunner.
The origianl motor is MORE than powerful enough to run the cub and can be purchased locally for just $10.00.
Anyway, just a thought... it's what I did to mine (now Dave's)!

Re: motor conversion
Hi Mad --
You might find that the original ESC will work with lipos just by resetting a jumper or changing the programming.
My Parkzone Spitfire is brushed/geared and was originally set up for NiMh, but the kit included instructions for programming the ESC for Lipo. It was pretty easy, using the transmitter and listening to the ESC's beeping: here are the instructions. Once reprogrammed it will have the standard Lipo low voltage cut-off. Good luck!

But he will have to continue to use the 27 MHz radio. I think he wants to use his Spektrum radio. (he mentioned this at the field... I think). Therefore, the changes I mentioned are needed. The Cub uses 5 wire servos, not 3 wire as you have in your Spit Dave.lawndart wrote:Hi Mad --

Re: motor conversion
Ordered two of the 25amp esc's bill recommended, for $10 each and the Turnigy SK 35-30 1100 as per RC groups thread Murray supplied, however after a little more research I think it might be a little to big...oh well i'm sure I'll find something else to put it in, don't really need the motor anyway just at $18 I couldn't resist.
Also picked up 3x1cell 140mah batteries for indoor flying next year at $1.50 each, again couldn't resist.
