Flap Mix for a Footuba 7chp
Can anyone in "FootubaLand" describe a way, to put on my Flaperons for my Sport Red Arrows Hawk. Programming a switch other than the VR6 "Crash Pot".
The manual states
"FLAP-TRIM allows the flap action to be set in a way that it can be adjusted with the VR
dial. AIRBRAKE will also move the flaps to a specified position via movement of a switch.
The flaps can also be moved with switch using a programmable mix. See offset as master"
It takes 2 minutes on the JR to program...
Confused

Jack I usually use two of the programmable mixes (PMIX) as they suggest and I can tell you how to do that if you want. However I looked at your manual on-line and the 7C has what they call "air brakes" which will set flaps in flaperon mode and also allow for elevator compensation. Look at the chart on the bottom of page 52 which has instructions to do what you want.

Thanks Rick, Done.
Just amazed at what is so easy on my JR, that it was a program nightmare on the 'tuba...
and I still have to tape off the Gdam vr6 pot so I don't crash.. Perhaps I should replace the 72mhz RX for a SS instead.

The pot shouldn't affect the air brake mix Jack, at least the way I read it. Maybe you already turned on the flaperon trim mix in which case you need to turn it off.

Yes it is on...and it affects the set point of the ailerons, I'll try this next...this makes 6 program steps, and a double check every time you fly..
I'm definately switching Transmitters this summer.
I guess its time for a new toy.
Which one are you using now? Rick
Thks

My main transmitter is now the 10C heli version. It came with a 10 channel 2.4 GHz module and I also have 72 mHz, Assan 2.4 and Spektrum modules.

actually Rick, I,ve just put it all on my test bench again, the Flap trim was Inh, however with it ON..it does disable the VR6..Krikey
Need I say more..
I'll leave this TX on the Mini Titan, and pick up a decent Aircraft TX this summer. It won't be a Footuba...
unless they change the way they have set up there program menus.

I called Andrew, and he's very Happy, the 9503 is an upgraded 9303 with 50 models instead of 30,(might cover murray's fleet) and Backlit display.(Duh) ...about time.
Also a laptop cable for storing and recovering all your model setups.
