Shannon Park Renewal... to June 30, 2019

We are happy to report to members that our lease at the Shannon Park field has been extended for another 6 months. The new lease takes us to June 30, 2019.

This is great news for our club. There has been a lot of media about upcoming changes to SP but, at least for the next while, we are approved to lease the field. As I have mentioned in the past, it is our safety record that contributes to this renewal - we fly responsibly and have not been a problem for Canada Lands. Thanks to everyone for your continued diligence to safety.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Gary F, who was able to reach out to Canada Lands to bring this agreement to fruition. Thank you from all of us at HEFA.

This is also a good time to renew your memberships. Don't forget that our HEFA and MAAC memberships run on a calendar year and renewals are required for January 1, 2019, to continue flying at SP or at the SW indoor (or other MAAC events). It is the best bang for your buck out there!

Karl... only if we get snow! Fingers crossed that it will be a mild winter with light winds... or at least light enough for some great winter flying (with or without skiis)!
