Our HEFA R/C club put on an airshow following expert parachuters doing amazing stunts and landing on the Commons

Pretty cool... Skyhawks parachuters, from their perspective, jumping yesterday from the C-130 Hercules and landing on the Commons - what a crowd!

I think the announcer/PR officer said 6000ft for the jumpers...the first pass on which they dropped the streamers was at 2500ft.

Some very positive information here that I am thrilled to share - especially with our volunteers!!!

Email from me to HRM on July 1:

Michael,

On behalf of HEFA, I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Canada Day festivities at the Halifax Common.

I hope that the event – and especially our aspect – was generally well received. In particular, I hope that the flying demonstration was met with some enthusiasm and without any identified issues. As discussed, we were keeping the planes small and in a fairly tight circuit – well away from people. Safety first!
