Gents,
The weather is looking fantastic for Saturday morning! Sunshine, light winds and high of 20 deg!
SRCF is very much looking forward to hosting you all at our field this weekend for some flying, camaraderie, and BBQ. For those that have never been there, I just wanted to let you know that, in addition to our 10,000 ft of asphalt, there is plenty of grass for your belly landers.
The gates will open at 8 am. Please be aware that we "shadow lock" the first steel pipe gate. In other words, it is pinned closed to make it look like it is locked, but it is not. You simply need to un-pin it, open the gate, drive through and then close it again behind you. The remaining two gates to the field are left open.
Hope to see you Saturday!
Vic

Thanks Vic, I'm hoping to see a good turnout. At present we have a baker's dozen, and looking for more..!
For those who might need a lead person, I'll swing by Shannon around 8am before heading over.
cheers,
Bill

I'll be sitting it out in St.John's airport.
Returning from Ireland, I get into st.Johns at 10am and can't get out until 6pm.

Bill,
I really want to be there but unfortunately other commitments make that impossible. I'll get there one day.

Re: HEFA invite from SRCF for "Thanksgiving weekend"
I just checked my flights and found that they are on Friday rather than Saturday which means that I'll be back and can torment you all on Saturday at the barbecue. I'm leaving my treasured 1.8m Pulsar and Wraith in Ireland which saves me dragging them back and forth.
I got to the big slope fly-in on 2600' mt. Leinster. Saturday was a bust with 40-50 mph winds and heavy rain. Sunday was clear but still with high winds - too much for the Pulsar, but got a flight with the Wraith. Was good meeting up with modellers I've known for over 50 years.

It's looking like ideal flying weather tomorrow morning!
I'm hoping to see lots of HEFA faces at Shearwater tomorrow to enjoy the flying and the food!
Cheers,
Vic
