Shannon Park Field Mowing-2016
Just wanted to let you know that I did the first mowing of the field this afternoon! While some areas of the field were not showing much new green growth, the pit area and the end towards the school has a healthy amount of weeds that needed some control. Much easier to cut if we stay ahead of this and cut on a regular basis!
I think the dandelions are ready to jump just as soon as it warms up just a little. The little buggers were keeping their heads low today!
The weather for the weekend is looking less than favourable but hopefully there will be some windows for flying!

Hi Tom, nice job with the field mowing and Yes, the school end turned yellow around 11am Sunday morning as the fog burnt off, and the "little buggers" popped open to ask.."did you miss us?" Looks to be another bumper crop this year..!
Good turnout today, Brian and I both had students up, and they all did well.
Bob and I are thinking of another BBQ on the long weekend, just haven't decided which day yet.
Have a great trip, bring back some new goodies..!
cheers,
Bill

Just leaving SP now after taking a hit on the grass and weeds. It really wasn't all that long, but I walked the entire course with my mower set quite low just the same. Ready for some great flying this weekend.

Hey Guys,
Got out yesterday to mow the field and now all of those aileron jamming, foam damaging, covering staining dandelion shoots are gone! Hope to see you on Saturday.
