Paul Lawrence Van Tassel
(1936 - 2015)
Van Tassel, Paul Lawrence – Age 78 of Cowbay formally of Digby passed away at home with family by his side on August 27th, 2015. Born in Digby, he was a son of the late Roy and Millie Van Tassel. He worked for Digby County Power Board and Nova Scotia Power. Paul loved hockey and spent much of his life either playing or coaching, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and travelling. He loved spending time with his family and his special visits with Dawson. Paul is survived by his soulmate, Betty Ryan; daughters, Cathy (Eddie), Paulette (Randy); sons, Barry (Janice), Bruce (Amy), John; step-daughters, Susan, Debie (Murray); step-son, Stephen; grandchildren, Cody, Evan, Noah, Kaylen, Leighton, Ariel, Dawson, Grace, Nova; step-grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, James; 11 great-grandchildren and four nieces. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife, Edie; daughter, Sandra and sister, Lorraine. Join the family to Celebrate Paul's Life from 2-4pm Tuesday, September 1st at the Digby Curling Club. Donations in memory may be made to Palliative Care, I.W. K.
