Just an update regarding going to the field tonight for some cleanup....we can do this Saturday, since we have pushed the open house ahead to Sunday.
If you want to help on Saturday morning, bring either a push broom or a grass rake. I'll have the garbage bags..!

Thank you for the hospitality today at the field. It was great to meet the members and everyone treated me as if I belonged there already. Great Club

It was great to me you and Allie (sp?) at the Shannon Park field today! There are several great clubs in the area but I think that you will find HEFA amongst the finest!
It sure was windy today but we had some great successes with Chris (3 flights), Merle (1 flight) and Paula (1 flight) buddy boxed with an Apprentice! Well done!
Thanks to those who made this event such fun and such a success! We'll need to do it again!
A reminder to that we are at Shannon most weekends and that we are always welcoming new introductions!!
See you at the field!
Brian

Well done guys...my latest head count says we had 30 people show up today, including Mr.Truck-Driver, Dieter..!
While we did not get the exact weather that was predicted last Wednesday, we made what was given to us work..!
I gotta thank those that really helped make this open house a success. From Brian (early morning field maintenance) to our other Brian (yeoman, Instructor) to Steve (canopy setup and tear-down) to the Multicopter guys, (John on flight-control with Rick as camera operator) and maybe most important, Chef Tom, for grilling those 48 "dogs" of which just two were left over..! We were all much warmer when we got on the outside of those dogs..!
For our first open house at the Shannon Field, it went off very well.
cheers,
Bill

Considering the wind it was a good day. Got a few flights in and enjoyed chatting with people.
