HEFA "Open House" May 23rd, 2015

THE OPEN HOUSE HAS BEEN MOVED TO SUNDAY, MAY 24/15 due to better weather..! (9AM start)


To celebrate our field lease renewal and get the new season off to a good start, the Directors hope that most members will come out on May 23rd (rain date 24th) for a day of flying and fun.

We will bbq some hotdogs, have some beverages and also invite anyone interested in having an introductory flight to come on down.

Just a follow up on our "Open House" plans for Saturday, May 23rd, 2015.

A few of us will make an effort on Friday evening to clean up our Shannon site...sweep the gravel back from the pit area, etc, etc.

I've been told that we can expect TWO overhead canopies to be erected early Saturday morning....this would be great..!

I have one large cooler for drinks, but would like another. Also we will need some ice.

I will pick up the bbq we purchased last year, it's in our trailer at plf. I have purchased a new propane tank for it. We also have a new table we bought last year. (nice to build up the assets).

Hope you all can make it....should be a relaxing day, with hopefully a few laughs, and some great introductory flights.

Hello Bill,
Re the Super Cub trainer for this event - I have the repairs underway- Tail fixed, wing fixed,( just waiting for glue to set up), new landing struts added, new engine mount installed as well as a new cowl. I have a new prop and new elastics to hold the wing on.
Just wondering if you want me to bring it down on Friday night to try it out to make sure that motor works? ( Hope it does as I don't have a spare one of those!)
If so, just let me know and you will need to bring the transmitter and a battery. Thanks!

Yes, I'll bring the Tx's Friday evening and we will try it all out...this time with the elevator set correctly..!

Hey Steve, that canopy will be much appreciated. When I heard the news about that today, it was like the song says..."satisfaction..!"

Now we just need another cooler for beverages....somebody got one..?

We are moving this event to SUNDAY, May 24/15...due to the forecast for Saturday of 7 degrees Celsius. Sunday they are calling for 17 degrees.

Both days are calling for some winds, so it might be decent glider weather..!

To the members I say....it's your Club, come on out and enjoy some fun..!
