New Land Agreement Signed for Shannon

Today, we have a new land agreement in place for use of the Shannon field.

HEFA has completed an agreement with land owner, Canada Lands Company, which grants us the use of the field until June 1st, 2015, on a daily basis, between the hours of 7am and 9pm. MAAC has been duly notified, and has forwarded their acknowledgment. So we are good to go..!

As in the past..we will continue the practise of not flying during the active school year when classes are being conducted.

I'm pleased to report that our lease of the Shannon field, which was to expire on June 1st/2015, is to be renewed next week for another year, and is to be looked at on a yearly basis.

We have also been advised by Canada Lands that some building demolition will take place this year, as they begin to prepare the site for eventual redevelopment.

As you know CLC presently leases the Shannon flying field to HEFA on a yearly basis, with a June 1st renewal date. Although nothing is guaranteed, we are optimistic that this will continue until at least 2018.
