Attached as a pdf file is the 2023 HEFA Membership Application.

I have added a portion at the bottom that will serve as a receipt. This will be removed by the person receiving the funds and given to the member.

Please complete a new Application form EACH year...as the previous year's form gets filed away and eventually shredded..!

Also...you will find the MAAC Application Form (for new members only) at this link: https://secure.maac.ca/members/en/join.php

If you wish to contact any of the HEFA Directors, click on this link and proceed: http://www.halifaxelectricflyers.com/about.html

thanks,
Bill

Confirmation of HEFA Applications for 2012

I'm asking this very nicely and I'm not trying to upset the apple cart. I'm old and I forget ;-)

Is there a way to confirm HEFA memberships? I don't think too many of have been issued cards in the past and I'm 99% sure I gave check last year but I'm now old as demonstrated by hair running towards back of my head, wearing of progressive eye glasses and my forgetfulness - so any help would be appreciated.

A list somewhere on our site? This might also prove useful for instructors to confirm if a student is actually a club member.

Tks

We have cards. I apologize to the membership as I am kind of slack with issuing them.
I usually have some in my car so feel free to ask me.

Good point Marc. The only problem I see is we only want members to see the membership list so it shouldn't be posted for public access. Either we can email the membership list to everyone when it changes or else I can implement a members only section on the website. The latter solution sounds better to me and is what both ASRCM and Avon do on their websites so I will look into it.

Andrew - no apologies necessary. We've had a few guys show up and some of us were not sure if they were club members or not.

In addition, I honestly forgot (remember the part about the hair racing for back of my head ;-)

A reminder to new members....as of Sept 1st both MAAC and HEFA dues are altered in that you get the remaider of this year (4 months) and all of the next year (12 months) for the same annual rate. (So 16 months for the price of 12 months)

So in the case of HEFA...after Sept 1st, your $50.00 fee results in membership until Dec 31st, 2013.

As we approach the HEFA fiscal year end, (Sept 30th) I'll throw out another request for any potential members that might be sitting on the fence, so to speak.

My membership register shows 58 active members today and it would be nice to end our fiscal year with 60..!

Once again, dues paid between now and Dec 31/12 result in a membership for ALL of 2013..!

cheers,

Bill

Ok...in preparation for the new year I have updated the first post of this thread with links to 2013 Application Forms for both HEFA and MAAC.

Since this thread is a "sticky" it remains on top...where it is easily accessed EACH year.

I have asked the Treasurer and Secretary to get new HEFA forms each year from all members to keep the records up to date.

thanks,
Bill

Another reminder to our present 51 members of 2013 that if you hear of a prospective new member...let them know that by signing up NOW they receive 15.5 months of membership for the price of 12 months. This offer is only available to NEW members of both MAAC and HEFA....also remember if you sign up three new MAAC members you get a free one year renewal...and that's a $90.00 deal for ya'll..!

I have updated the first post of this thread to include the 2014 HEFA Application form, for those that wish to download it, and renew at the upcoming AGM meeting. The date of this meeting will be announced shortly, and will be held sometime in November. (Members will be given the required 30 days notice of this meeting.)
