You may have heard the term..."having a MAAC event Sanctioned"..and wondered what that was about:

In the November 2013 issue of Model Aviation Canada, page 23, is a well written explanation of the "how and why" of having a Club event sanctioned by MAAC. It gives three reasons of which the last reason is the one most Clubs would use, I suspect. Goes something like this...

"In order that MAAC Insurance coverage be provided at any contest or event to which the general public is invited by public advertisement."
