MAAC is the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada, the governing body for model aeronautics in Canada. By joining MAAC, and following their Safety Rules, a flyer is covered by a FIVE MILLION DOLLAR liability insurance policy.
For this reason, among others, most local model flying clubs in Canada become chartered member clubs of MAAC...and require their members to also be MAAC members.

You may have noticed when visiting other model flying clubs that there is usually a sign posted requiring you to have a valid MAAC membership card with you, if you intend to fly.
