Received word today from MAAC Zone B Director, Regis Landry, that when instructing a new flyer,( MAAC member or non MAAC member) the two people must be buddied together with separate Transmitters.
No longer is it permissible from MAAC to hand a Transmitter back and forth when teaching or assisting a student flyer. If this is done and an accident occurs no Insurance claim will be honored by MAAC.
A student flyer is described as any flyer WITHOUT THEIR WINGS.
Please make your fellow member flyers aware of this, as it means that only Instructors who have the proper buddy-box equipment are able to legally assist student flyers.
