Saturday May 11
No one at the field this morning. It was foggy on the drive there but no fog over the field so I drained several packs. When I left at 9 it was getting ever clearer. Spending Mother's Day with family so will have to wait until next weekend to fly again.

I never crash, I just create exciting ways to meet the ground. After all, take-offs are desirable, landings are inevitable.

Bruce - sorry that we missed you! I was late in getting to the field today... I waited for most of the fog to dissipate before going to SP. I did not arrive until just after 10am. John O'S was already there and shortly afterwards Chris H arrived. John S was there and renewed his membership and Ivan L also popped in. It was a great morning. Lots of flights in warm temperatures and low winds.
Chris was able to maiden his new plane... inspired by Steve W. A dollar-store type free glider that Chris added controls for the ailerons, rudder and elevator.... and a folding prop on the new motor mount. It flew absolutely great.
John O'S had his large glider in the air. What a flyer! Long flight times for sure.
Tomorrow is indeed Mother's Day but we are hoping for some fun in the morning. Winds will be a little higher and temperatures a little cooler... but hopefully still the right conditions for some FUN!

Unfortunately, the winds look quite high this morning. The sun is shining and temperatures are ok (8°C according to my thermometer)... but those winds.....
Is anyone at SP? What are others doing?

Yesterday at Shannon> The new 4m Pulsar and did a maiden on the new Bluenose indoor model. It flew well, but a too flexible elevator pushrod provided some interesting aerobatics.
