Winds look light enough for outdoor flying tomorrow!!! Still dress warm as temperatures will be hovering near 0°C. With wind chill.... closer to -5°C.

See you there! It's been far too long!

Well... nice to see all of the familiar faces... although they all looked a little more red than I remember... perhaps something about the cold?

A bit of a breeze which made it cool. Another lesson to layer up... and not to forget my electric sweater!

A few highlights:
  • Rick's StuntMaster was fighting the 800 flight mark... but Rick was determined to make it. So close!!!
  • Maiden of Bruce's Timber. He's had this for months and finally it hit the air. Bound his Dx6 and set-up SAFE for a start. It flew great and Bruce landed it like a champ! Quite a step up from the SuperCub!
  • Bob... how many bags of garbage did he pick up? Looked like at least 3 or 4...? Thanks for keeping the area so clean. I just wish that the general population cared as much as you!
  • It has been months since we have seen Louis... welcome back!
Tomorrow is still looking ok.. less winds and just a degree or so warmer. I believe that there is also indoor at SW.

Lots on the go!!!

Another great morning at SP! Upwards of 8 or so keeners at the field this morning. Temperatures were hovering near 0°C but winds were very low and therefore conditions were quite good!!!!

I am sure that others were at the SW indoor and enjoyed that as well.

Speaking of indoor.... have you been to MSC lately? Some great prices for indoor planes (all prices from memory... could be off a little): UMX PT17 Biplane at $120 or so; UMX Vapor for $55; lots of quadcopter options; a UMX T28 for $120.

I am already looking forward to next weekend!!!

About 10 or a dozen at Shearwater today. Lots of flying, Richard had an ultra high frequency EDF mini fighter which flew surprisingly well with added drag flaps on the wings.

The weather at the SW indoor is always favorable, in case you were wondering.
