Wednesday is perfect for slope flying at Lawrencetown. Winds SSW 15kph with gusts to 28 kph. Temp 14 deg C.
Chris Dean, Al Coolen and I (and possibly others) plan to be there at 11 am.

Looks like today is going to be good, and me without a plane. Forecast last night was high wind so I didn't charge any batteries. Oh well. Need to find a better forecast site.

I never crash, I just create exciting ways to meet the ground. After all, take-offs are desirable, landings are inevitable.

Chris Dean, John Walker, Al Coolen, Richard Giles and me at the Lawrencetown slope from 11am to 1:30pm
Conditions were medium SSW wind, warm - just perfect conditions. Lots of models and airtime.

I took my wife out to SP this afternoon, around 1300,and let my Apprentice have its way in the air. I got in three flights before I decided that the wind was getting too much for my flying capabilities.
We then went on the SP Trail. What a great trail. The view at the point is worth the walk.

Black Friday flying! No parking problems, no long lines to wait in, no hassles with impatient consumers. Being retired has a lot of advantages. It was a good morning to drain some batteries in the Apprentice.

Great day for flying at lunch time. Going back at 4 to use up my last 2 batteries if the wind behaves.
