Re: SP Weather - GO / NO GO
I have made an experimental alternate display for this which is at:
http://www.halifaxelectricflyers.com/dyc2.html
Try this one out too and let me know what you think. It does have temperature on the tooltips and I lowered the static bars for the wind level

This is a very useful Chart - All we need is for the weather to behave
Thanks Rick.
Thanks Rick.

Re: SP Weather - GO / NO GO
Rick,
Well done with the DYC wind graph. Very helpful. With reference to Tom B's last post, I can't see the wind direction or temperature readings. I've tried both the 'DYC' and 'DYC2' links. Any idea what is happening? I'm using an iPad.
Thanks,
Mike

I guess it's not very obvious Mike but it's just a mouse-over on the main graph. Just click on the line and then move along to see the changes over time. If you click on the horizontal lines which represent the wind levels and move along, you see the time. I've looked at other ways to do this but they all clutter up the display with slowly changing data so this seems the best way. Once you know how to see it!

Re: SP Weather - GO / NO GO
The weather stations at both the Dartmouth Yacht Club and the QEII Heliport have been up and down and presumably damaged by the recent storms. In the meantime I have found the one at the Brightwood Golf Course to be better anyway.
So now the two charts are:
Brightwood http://www.halifaxelectricflyers.com/dyc.html
QEII http://www.halifaxelectricflyers.com/dyc2.html
There is also a weather station on the Eastern Shore past Lawrencetown which I will make a chart for eventually and also one at Scotia Zinc near Shubenacadie for those of us who fly at the ASRCM field.

I have the wind chart operational again and I have changed where the data is stored to collected to make it more reliable. This is the time of year when I think we really need this! I will keep an eye on it.

Re: SP Weather - GO / NO GO
I guess the cold and windy weekend inspired me to fix it John!
I never did really answer the question about viewing on a tablet. Since there is no mouse over you need to touch the graph line to get the temperature and wind direction to pop up.

Thanks Rick. I've been missing this one as well. Glad it's back up and operational.
