My Q-Tee, in dope and silkspan regalia, was maidened at ASRCM's Milford field today. A 75 W brushless outrunner from Zebra did the trick. I had literally hundreds of flights on a Q-Tee back in the 70s with a Cox Black Widow, and I dare say that this electric combo had it beat all to heck. Very relaxed Rudder and Elevator flying and even tried some rudder-only manouevres using a spiral dive to pick up speed for the loops. Also maidened a Ben Buckle kit of the Berkeley Buccaneer (cc 1940).....two first test flights (successful, that is) in one day for me is a record! My knees are still shaking.
Will see all at Shannon shortly with the Q-Tee. Berkeley L-19/O-1 Bird Dog now being framed up.

Re: Q-Tee maiden
Well done Kirk;
It's a bit of a nail-biter to make the electric transition, but you will very quickly discover that once you have got the hang of it, you will never go back.
See you at Shannon,
John
