FREE..! "Visable V8 Engine Kit"

Unread post by retiredVTT » Thu Sep 30, 2010 1:49 am

I hate to trash this if someone could get some enjoyment or education from it.

It's a 1/4 scale working V8 car engine kit that is about half completed. It's from the 80's or earlier. Has a small battery operated motor that turns the crank, which rotates the pistons and the camshaft operates the valves.

Free to the first person that replies.

Couple of pics..

You got her Steve...!

I'll bring it along the first fine flying day we get....which might be awhile at the rate we're going.
Oh well, we can't complain weather wise, fantastic summer, it's pay back time now..!

This kit is a decent project that teaches that things have to happen at the right time for an engine to "purr"...!

I had one of those when I was kid in the 70's, living in Miami! Wow... that is neat. I don't know what my parents were thinking when they bought it for me because I was just 8 years old. It was like, "Here you go son, have fun!" I kept looking at the contents of the box for months and always thought it would take years to assemble...lol For me, it was too complicated, so I gave it to my neighbour to put together. Steve, if you happen to see what it looks like when it's completed, it'd be great to see a video of it in operation.

Cheers,
AC
