TBS CAIPIRINHA

Unread post by MarkL » Sat Feb 15, 2014 12:08 pm

Finally got the TBS CAIPIRINHA build finished. Now if only there was decent weather ahead for a maiden.

Added a custom printed skid plate below the GoPro to help protect it a bit on landing.

Interesting design, Mark.

I wonder if a hand hold type of center skid would help with the launch and also assist in protecting those fins when landing.

It will be awhile before we have tall grass for a cushion.

What motor and lipo will you be using?

I was thinking of making a center fin/skid for it for that. May do something yet.

I normally side arm launch most of my wings, Frisbee style.

Its a 2000kv motor. Going to run on a 2S 3300. it is meant to be a somewhat tamer small FPV platform.

Is the Rx on the same wing as the Video camera? Does the signal line from the camera cause interference on the servo lines?

Is there a reason to put the video Tx far away from the video camera rather than on the wing nearest the camera? I am wondering about EMI and RFI from the camera and video Tx.
