Mini KF ZAGI

Mini KF ZAGI
test flew yesterday on the commons - flew excellently in some wind - excellent excellent looping with no rolling off or tip stalling. roll rate and inverted is fine too. will be fine for indoor and real fun for backyard for more urban flying. dollarama foam - stripped rear portion and elevons, but mylar plus paper on the front portion. stiff and strong, but coulda been lighter with mylar only. symmetrical KFm-4 airfoil. tapered wing keeps thickness along span (bigger % thickness at tip) so helps prevent tip stalls i think. another cheap and easy build.

33" span, 4.7 oz all in
6x3 prop, 10g motor, 350mah batt, 6a esc, 3.7g servos

Looks great, Steve. What's the wing loading?

Great work Steve, you should draw up the plans or specifications an post them here, I bet lots of people would build one. :)

thx again cato. yeh, i guess this one wouldn't be hard to draw plans for. at the moment they're still on a napkin, so to speak. there's probably similar plans on the web though, as i think i've seen pics of similar planes before.
