Re: PBF Indoor Flier
Ok..it's Karl's thread, but I'll stay on topic, and continue with my PBF activity here so future buildersc will have one source to go to.
Was not satisfied with my print out of the "tiled" plan..all 10 pages..they were off in the measurements when taped together so I got our "main man to scan the plan"...and low and behold everything came out perfect in size.
Next thing was to use spray adhesive (Elmer's) to attach the plan pieces to poster board and then cut them to shape with a pointy #11 blade (Excell)
Viola...I now have templates for a Pizza-box Flyer..!
thanks Chris, for jumping on this today..!

Re: PBF Indoor Flier
One tip for you, when you cut the foam for the KF step, leave a bit extra on the front corners and around the prop slot. There is pretty much zero working time with 3M-77 or Elmers spray glue. That way you don't have to worry about getting it matched up exactly and can trim to match the main wing afterward.
Edit: one more small thing - the notch at the front of the cutout for the black plastic motor mount is quite a bit bigger than the little tab on top of those mounts. If you're using one, you may want to use the mount itself as a guide for the cutout instead of using the template.

I can see the PBF being the indoor SuperFly. I may want to borrow your template Bill...after I finish my TopSky DLG... which should arrive middle of next week.

Your right though Andrew, I think this PBF machine will be a huge hit at the indoor.

Re: PBF Indoor Flier
This will be my motor of choice...a little 25 gram ditty from HK that I have available. It will require a mod in the motor mount department so I gotta plan ahead for that when cutting out the fuselage. KV on this is listed as 1200 but some say it's more likely 1300..supposed to turn an 8x3.8 prop nicely on 7 amps from a 2S-360mah pack.

I'm thinking my old Sukhoi may turn into an MMT-PbF (miniaturized, meat-tray, pizza-box flyer)
